The Canadian American Association of Professional Baseball, commonly known as the Can-Am League, is a professional, independent baseball league based in Durham, North Carolina, United States. The league was founded in 2005 after the Northeast League, its predecessor, decided to reorganize. The Can-Am League operates in cities not directly served by Major or Minor League teams and is not affiliated with either. As of 2015, six teams play in the Can-Am League. These teams are located in Ottawa, Ontario; Quebec City, Quebec; Trois-Rivieres, Quebec; Pomona, New York; Little Falls, New Jersey; and Augusta, New Jersey. ==Policies and practices==
